Operators work around system logic instead of through it, because the configuration underneath was built for a go-live date, not for how the floor runs today.
That gap sits in pick and put path design, slotting, wave planning, directed put-away, allocation, batching, replenishment and returns, and in how pick-to-light, put-to-light, conveyor and sortation controls talk to the WMS — and it shows up as an exception queue filed in a shared drive rather than used on shift.

There is no WMS, automation hardware or licence to buy from us, and no vendor commission behind a recommendation: our only revenue is client fees. The work is warehouse systems engineering aligned to your floor — WMS configuration and optimisation, automation integration and commissioning, launch and stabilisation, and warehouse data and analytics engineering built on your own WMS data, not a bought dashboard.
Every engagement is scoped to a written statement of work with named deliverables, priced day-rate, T&M or fixed-scope, and delivered directly by the principal, Steven Sharp, on close to 20 years of hands-on systems experience.

What this is not
We do not sell you something to configure.
We do not sell you a product to configure or a WMS to adopt — we engineer the floor and systems you already run. A product company’s incentive is to sell you its platform; a vendor’s services arm is scoped to get you live on it. 1722 has no platform to sell and no commission riding on the recommendation, so the work follows your floor and your data, not a vendor roadmap.
It is also project engineering, not managed operations. Go-live, stabilisation and handover documentation are the end of the engagement — your team runs the operation afterwards, not us.

We already have a WMS and automation. What is there left to engineer?
Owning a WMS and automation is not the same as having them configured to your floor. Pick and put path design, slotting, wave planning, directed put-away, allocation, batching, replenishment and returns are engineering decisions inside the platform you already run — usually where slow picks, congested aisles and aging exceptions come from.
Do you sell a WMS, automation hardware or software licences?
No. We do not sell a WMS, automation hardware, software licences or 3PL capacity, and we take no vendor commissions. Our only revenue is client fees, so recommendations follow your floor, not a product line.
Does this work for a multi-client 3PL, not just a single-site DC?
Yes. Multi-client floors add complexity — shared automation across shipper profiles, client-specific slotting and reporting on one WMS instance. Discovery baselines this explicitly, and configuration and analytics are engineered against that multi-tenant reality.
What does a typical engagement look like?
A staged, fixed-scope project: Assess, Design & configure, Commission & assure, then Stabilise & adopt — typically 14–18 weeks in full, with smaller work packages scoped from the same discovery step.
Do you run our operations after go-live?
No. This is project engineering with a defined go-live and end point, not ongoing operations. We hand over documentation and train your team so the people who work the floor run it, not us.
